Own the Domain.
On the Agency plan, you can serve every client assessment, every report link, and every client portal from your own subdomain -like reports.yourfirm.com. SuccessionLabX becomes invisible. Your brand is everything.
Enterprise-Grade Infrastructure, Zero Complexity
We handle all the technical complexity. You just point a CNAME record.
Complete Brand Authority
Clients never see "successionlabx.com" in any URL, email, or report. The entire digital experience exists within your firm's brand domain ecosystem.
Branded Delivery
Supported report links can present your own domain when the custom domain is configured correctly.
Deployment Dependent
DNS and hosting behavior depend on your deployment setup rather than a single built-in automation flow.
Phased Rollout
Use custom domains where the current workflow supports them, then expand coverage as more client-facing surfaces are enabled.
Go Live in Under 1 Hour
The stored domain setting is simple. End-to-end branded delivery still depends on DNS and deployment configuration.
Enter Your Subdomain
In your Advisor Dashboard ->Settings ->Custom Domain, enter the subdomain you wish to use (e.g., reports.yourfirm.com or assessment.yourfirm.com).
Add the CNAME Record
We display the exact CNAME record value. Copy it, log into your DNS provider (Cloudflare, GoDaddy, Namecheap, etc.), and add the CNAME record for your chosen subdomain pointing to our edge network.
Wait for DNS Propagation
DNS timing depends on your provider and deployment setup. After configuration, test the branded domain before sharing client links.
Verify DNS and Deployment
After your DNS and deployment configuration are in place, branded report links can resolve through your chosen domain.
Use Branded Report Links
Once configured, supported client report links can be shared from your branded domain instead of the platform default domain.
Advisor use case
Why a custom report domain helps trust
A custom domain is useful when a firm wants every report URL to feel like part of its own digital infrastructure. Instead of sending clients to a generic software domain, the advisor can deliver reports from a branded subdomain controlled by the firm.
This matters most for agencies, family office teams, and advisory firms that already use branded portals, secure client vaults, and formal review workflows. The domain reinforces continuity between the assessment, the advisor meeting, and the final deliverable.
Custom domains should be evaluated alongside white-label settings, team seats, and support processes because they are part of the overall client experience rather than a standalone technical feature.
Before setup, the firm should choose a subdomain that clients will recognize, confirm who manages DNS, and decide whether report links should be shared by email, portal, or direct advisor follow-up.
The custom domain does not change the scoring methodology or report substance. It changes trust, continuity, and delivery polish, which matters when the report is part of a premium advisory engagement.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to set up a full domain, or just a subdomain?
A subdomain is sufficient and recommended (e.g., reports.yourfirm.com). You do not need to transfer your main domain. You simply add a CNAME record to your existing DNS configuration.
How long does setup take?
Setup time depends on who controls DNS and how your deployment is configured. The product stores the domain setting, but branded delivery should be tested before sharing links with clients.
What happens to old SuccessionLabX links I already sent to clients?
Existing links are not automatically rewritten everywhere. Firms should confirm which links they want to share after the custom domain is configured.
Is this available on all plans?
Custom domains are available on supported higher-tier plans. Access still depends on deployment readiness and the specific workflow surface being used.
Can each team member on my Agency plan have their own custom domain?
Currently, one custom domain is configured at the Agency-owner level and applied across all sub-advisors within that agency. Per-advisor custom domains are on the roadmap.
